BRJ support services aim is to drive a cultural change in residential health and social care settings. We believe to be one of a few services who can truly offer a person-centred approach in supporting people.
Our goals are quite simple, we want to support a person in achieving positive outcomes that enables the person to feel a sense of purpose, belonging, fulfilment, worth and achievement.
We have developed our ethos from a humanistic practice of person-centred therapy; we have adopted how this practice values a person for their individualism and worth as another human being. A person is not defined by a condition, illness or label, only that they are a unique individual human being.
We believe that to enable positive change and growth in a person, you need to form a trusting and non-judgemental relationship that provides the conditions required by each individual.
"Being person-centred is about focusing care on the needs of individual. Ensuring that people's preferences, needs and values guide clinical decisions, and providing care that is respectful of and responsive to them. " - Person-centred care | Health Education England (hee.nhs.uk)
"The movement towards person-centred care has been gathering pace over the past two decades. The global quality body ISQua has published a new white paper, Person Centred Care Systems: From theory to practice, which encourages making person-centred care a core element in the healthcare systems worldwide."
"Care providers in Scotland are more connected than ever thanks to Person Centred Software's Mobile Care Monitoring system, which allows staff to digitally plan, record and monitor the care of residents in real-time."
